Parts for electro-technics consist of electrically conductive and non-conductive materials. Competitive pressure in the industry makes it necessary to reduce the number of components and rationalize the assembly – a perfect constellation for using hybrid technology (joining contact material and plastics within one operation). Task:
The bobbin must accommodate four wires for contacting. Mounting the wires in the holes of the coil reel is complex and requires an additional operational step inside the mold.

Solution:
Sophisticated mold technology makes it possible to feed the wires directly into the mold to be coated. Adhesion is therefore very good and the robustness of the production process means that the parts can be produced cost efficiently.

Task:
The dimensions in the electronic industry are becoming more and more compact. More technology is squeezed into tighter spaces, usually leading to a reduction in wall thickness of the components. Requirements are: impermeability and heat resistance in the reflow oven.

Solution:
A close collaboration between the material producer, PKT and the customer and a certain number of material tests made it possible to determine a suitable material that fulfills all requirements. In addition, a 100% control of the permeability is performed at the machine.
